Highlights from 2010 World Tea Expo

Have you ever attended the "World Tea Expo?"
It may be hard to believe, but yes there is a convention for tea.
I have been fortunate to attend this event the past five years, and
I always look forward to attending.
Every year serious tea aficionados attend the one and
only industry event dedicated to specialty tea.
The World Tea Expo is the premier business-to-business event
dedicated to specialty tea; it's the three days each year when
industry members determine trends, optimize product lines,
increase knowledge and network with peers.
I am so excited to share a few of my favorite highlights
from this years expo!
We've arrived, let's go in!!

We're waiting to go into the expo hall, let the fun begin.

The one and only James Norwood Pratt.

This man knows sooooooooo much about tea.

I had the privilege of attending his tea tastings. I am holding

the new tea dictionary he authored along with two gentlemen from India.
I always look forward to spending time with noted tea author Jane Pettiqrew.

I attended a focused tasting of unusual black teas with her.

We tasted teas that are being grown in Hawaii, Bolivia,

Guatemala, Georgian, and my personal favorite from the UK.

I believe I own every book she has authored, which are quite a few!

Noted tea author, James Norwood Pratt and author Scott Hoyt.

Scott is the author of "The Meaning of Tea", a tea inspired journey.

I have heard so many wonderful reviews of his book

and DVD I had to purchase them.

I hope to share these in my shop with my tea friends.

This kind lady served me matcha tea, a fine ground green tea

whisked in hot water then served.

Lots of great health benefits, because you drink the leaf!

Isn't she beautiful?

This lovely lady was serving a Japanese tea, a Japanese tradition.

Farewell Tea Expo, until next year......:)
